Our Company History

Bakker Aluminum is a family-owned Canadian business based in London, ON, founded in 1962 by Peter Bakker. Known for its commitment to quality and customer service, the company flourished under Peter’s leadership. After his retirement in 1989, ownership passed to his daughter Betty and her husband John Vander Tuin, who had joined in 1974. Together, they expanded the business and solidified its strong presence in the community.

After John and Betty’s retirement in October 2024, the business transitioned to Brad Fournie and Kevin Vander Tuin, the son of Betty and John. This new generation of leadership continues the family legacy, focusing on delivering exceptional craftsmanship and maintaining the strong values of integrity and customer care that have been the cornerstone of Bakker Aluminum for over six decades. The company remains deeply committed to treating customers, suppliers, and staff with the utmost dignity and respect.
